Graphic Design

What It Means:
The explosion of information in our society has reinforced the value of graphic design in everyday communication. At the same time, technology has revolutionized this wide-ranging discipline from desktop publishing to interactive media. Graphic design practitioners plan, analyze and create visual solutions to communications problems through a variety of print and electronic media. They work in a variety of companies and industries, including the desktop publishing and printing fields, multimedia companies, interactive design firms, the entertainment industry, software development companies, advertising agencies and corporate communications departments, among others.

The graphic design program at ITT Tech can help graduates prepare to pursue careers in traditional print and publishing areas and in information and interactive design fields.

What It Means To You:
The ITT Technical Institutes are a leading provider of technology education in the United States. We applied our experience in technology education to develop a bachelor's degree program in a promising field. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the graphic design field is expected to grow about as fast as average for all occupations from now through the year 2014, and employment in the desktop publishing field is expected to grow faster than average for all occupations from now through 2014*.
